Client: Intecs spa
Lot area: sm 2.700
Offices: sm 3.600
Basement: sm 1500
The new Intecs Spa headquarters is settled in the Tecnopolo Tiburtino, an excellent technological district. The compact geometry guarantees the best efficiency, the building is Casaclima A certificated. The simple shape hides a spatial complexity that can be exploited with a moving observation. In a rotating way, the 2 staircases cut into the building surface, roofs come out and reinforce the idea of lightness. The sense of movement is increased by an alternated use of windows and panels, which gradually change their steel sides orientation, reflecting the opposite green hill. The helicoidal staircase in the courtyard, with the sculptural shape, emphasizes the gravitational effect. The plan is simple and firm, with the maximum freedom to the furniture. The external garden follows the internal movement, touching the building when a passage internal/external occurs. Car park are both outside and underground.
NEW GREDA SRL HEADQUARTERS AND FACTORY
with Arch. Angelo Silingardi, Arch. Anita Cova
Location: Carpi (Modena)
Client: Greda srl
Lot area: sm 8.000
Showroom and offices: sm 2.510
Production and storage: sm 3.500
The area faces the A22 Motorway: the car speed needs an impact facade which can directly communicate the idea of the brand. The corner of the main facade is raised up, so the hole building, with a roof garden, looks like a raised earth piece. The corner is the main entrance, during the night, the glass walls make it be brilliant. An ellipse structure, with the offices insight, is hanging over. Inside, a big pool is surrounded by all main activities, Reception, Event Room, Store, Showroom and Spa, these spaces are fluid but defined by different levels. Offices can be reached by staircases and elevators inside white cages. Production and store area occupy the rest of the building. The project respects bio-architecture, starting from project and material choices, technological systems and the presence of the roof garden.
SAN NICOLA DI BARI CHURCH IN SAN NICCOLÒ TREBBIA, PIACENZA
Location: San Niccolò a Trebbia (Piacenza)
Lot area: sm 5.700
Church and offices area: sm 1200
Enclosed buildings area: sq 2160
The project challenges the "big facade" theme: born in the Romanic period, the issue arrived until the 19th century, considering the facade as an independent element. Here the facade becomes a spectacular anticipation of the religious space, mystery and attraction revealed by the two big wooden panels. Shape and materials brings simplicity but solemnity, bricks remind of a rural nature. The marble of the women's gallery emphases the rays coming from the apse. The cross cut in the apse makes the exterior less heavy. The Church hosts almost 800 people.
PUBLIC MARANELLO LIBRARY
with Arch. Gabriele Covi + Arch. Elisa Annovi
Location: Maranello (Modena)
Lot area: sm 1.500
Library and offices area: sm 1.800
The surface folding process determines a new box where new entrances and passages are created though its observation. The self determination of the box space, is limited by the specific site, which is strictly defined by backside buildings. The main entrance is a ramp, with a poetry by Enrique Ahriman, fixed on its concrete surface. The Library is developed through two wings and overcomes, like a bridge, over the entrance. The envelope has a three dimensional surface that reminds of piles of books.
NURSERY SCHOOL AND TRIAL MUSIC HALL
with Arch. Roberta Paglioli
Location: Sluderno (Bolzano)
Area: sm 4.100
Nursery school and trial music hall area: mq 1.400
The urban project respects Sludern settlement, keeping same characteristics of fluid paths, open areas and different levels. The main urban axis is confirmed: public buildings and the historic Church path still face on it. In a new path, next to the School, a ramp brings to the Trial Music Hall. The public Park has different levels for picnic areas. The pedagogic model deals with town planning, architecture and local history; in a dialogue between scientific and artistic thoughts. The main principles are based on the identity of the building and the light filter to the external spaces. The long indoor corridor of the school is felt like a Plaza where children learn a right civic attitude. The school is a laboratory and furniture can be easily adaptable. The compact volume, the stratigraphic envelope, the selected windows and the forced ventilation, reduce the energetic demand for the Casaclime A+ requests. X-Lam system is used for external and internal walls.

On a high steep hill, Roncofreddo is a very unique place, the project has to be seen in a landscape view, including the hairpin bend which ends in the volume itself. The planivolumetric asset refers to the orographic curves; the road extension under the volume lets free the school to exploit the best views of the valley. The Kindergarten and the Nursery Schools are on the same level, facing a plan garden; other common areas face the valley and the big park on a lower level. The pedagogic reference stands on principles of identity, flexibility and transparency, the school becomes a laboratory end the main connective space stimulates to a civic sense. Client: Dimensione srl, Comune di Castelnuovo Rangone
Lot area: sm 2700

The Eco Green Village is the answer to an identity need. The traditional Village in this specific italian countryside, is based on simple and regular volumes. Their shapes indicate a specific use, in a system of distances and relations. The Eco Green Village catches the same spatial concept of volumetric system, where each building stands for a different residential typology. Further, the social model created, is based on the maintenance of personal identity in a wider complexity of opportunities and relationships. Mild Home is the answer to a social, green and economic sustainability. The easy construction system is expressed in a symbolic volume. In this italian countryside, the “porta morta” building is a tradition: Mild Home keeps the same idea of crossing building. This architecture reflects, once more, an urban attitude to create visual and physical relationships between the building itself and the sorroundings.

Location: Formigine (Modena)
Client: Edilnord Real Estate
Lot area: sm 800
Area on 3 levels+basement: sm 600
Apparently extraneous, the project is truly the contemporary answer to this country site. The site is very short and long: on one side, wide windows are forbidden because of its nearness to neighborhood , while the other side faces a magnificent archeological country site. The project is a frame for the back standing country site, reminding the Emilia old farms, with the big central arcade. This area is also a car platform to the underground car park. Two flats with private gardens stand on the first two levels symmetrically, the last one is on third level and decorates the house with fretworked opening panels, it has a private terrace. Casaclima A certification.
Location: Mirandola (Modena)
Client: Luppi family
Area on 2 levels: sm 250
Lot area: sm 600
After the hole demolition of the old farm, the plan shape had to be maintained. The specific urban orientation demands the building must have the entrance on the short side, the one seen at first sight. For this reason the project focuses on the observation of the elements addition, that can be seen standing by the short side. The central back bone of the building is the long brick wall, which separates the more comfortable and protected area from the more open and public part of he house. The two spaces are connected by holes in the brick wall and a passing fireplace. The last addition is the slim glass surface of the wide windows standing in front of the garden. The project expected a Travertino stone Wall, instead of the bricks.

The project for a 30 flats building for self-sufficient seniors, aims to match the architectonic quality with the specific landscape of the Ampezzo Valley. The “senior City” living system is based on flats and common services which can be used also by external clients, becoming a centre for all the community. The accessibility is obtained by the entrances of the garages, services, flats and the outdoor fields, on a unique level. The volumetric composition recall the traditional villages structure: open to the valley and with respect of the sun orientation. The architectonic language draws from the traditional home subdivision with the stone walls for the residential area, and the wood for the barn. Here the wood keeps the old weaving construction system, but is used for the new project of the balconies.
